Sales of Volkswagen Polo at its Peak

Volkswagen Polo was officially launched on February 23 and with its launch it has received an immense consumer response. And the car is now churning out a whooping amount of 110,000 cars every year. Moreover, if you are thinking to go for New Volkswagen Polo then you have to wait for one and half to two months. Also, the company has confirmed that it has 1,500 units of bookings since launch.

The New Polo was launched at a price tag of Rs. 4.34 lakh (ex showroom New Delhi) is now being sold at Rs. 4.42 lakh (ex showroom New Delhi) effective March 2, 2010 due to the change in excise duty announced in the Union Budget.

The petrol variant of Volkswagen Polo is equipped with a 1.2 litre engine with an output of 75HP @ 5400 rpm and a Torque of 110NM @ 3750 rpm. The diesel variant is also equipped with the 1.2 litre engine with an output of 75HP @ 4200 rpm and torque of 180 NM @ 2000 rpm. The New Polo comes in three trim levels Trendline, Comfortline and Highline. The car is also powered with 5-speed manual gear box.

The interiors of the care are decked with storage compartment in front doors for 1.5 litre bottles, folding rear seat backrests, sunglass storage inside glove box, and the two-tone dashboard. All these features renders a high design quality to the car.

The most unique feature to this segment is, the car offers remote keyless central locking that includes remote window up / down on the Highline. Standard for all cars are the tilt & telescopic steering which allows for perfect ergonomic seating for driver for fatigue free driving. And the best part about the car is it also offers green-tinted heat-blocking glass.
